Hobo's Hideout Bed, Breakfast and Barn - Additional Information

Horse sculptureAside from the obvious recreational activities, Hobo's Hideout Bed, Breakfast and Barn, and Mancos itself, is a haven for artists. Veryl Goodnight, and Patsy Davis, both sculptors, regularly present workshops and classes, in addition to operating Goodnight Gallery - featuring western fine art, in downtown Mancos. Susan Matteson, La Plata Mountains behind iciclesa painter, organizes art workshops and is part of the Mancos Artisan’s cooperative. Marilyn Kroeker, a potter, also has a cooperative fine arts gallery in Mancos. Magnificent views of Mesa Verde, the La Plata Mountains, Mancos Hill, and our own forested acres provide a peaceful backdrop for your own art endeavors.

Mountain Shadows Tennessee Walking Horse Farm has been in operation since 1983, and proudly stands at stud "Reward’s Midnight Special." Dimitri has been showing and amateur training gaited horses since that time, and Chris joined her in the effort in 1996, going from novice to amateur in only two shows; exclusively showing the stallion that season. In conjunction with R&M Gaited Mules, both Chris and Dimitri have also enjoyed showing some of the best gaited mules in the Western United States as well. In addition to breeding, Dimitri can help you in the purchase of sound gaited horses and gaited mules.

Dimitri also operates "Only Custom" from her on-site workshop. Creating one of a kind chaps, riding aprons, period costumes,  custom millnery, and antique sidesaddle restorations. So if you have been searching for your own "look" for horse show, dog show, rodeo, parade, wedding or re-enactment, look no further.
